Colorectal and Pelvic Care Program

About

The Colorectal and Pelvic Care Program is a collaborative program that provides an efficient, one-stop shop for the cutting-edge care children with acquired or congenital colorectal disorders deserve.

Our team discusses patient cases in a weekly conference between Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, GI Psychology, Urology, Pelvic Floor Therapy, nurse support and other teams as needed. Patients and their families then meet with the team in clinic to discuss an individualized treatment plan.

Our team specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing acquired or congenital colorectal disorders and anorectal continence issues in children. Some of these include:

Patient Resources

Support Groups

  • The Pull-Thru Network
  • Local families have been trained to provide support to other families. Please reach out if you would like to talk with a family.

Research

We are excited for the opportunity to partner with our pediatric colorectal colleagues across the United States. Children’s Wisconsin partners with other pediatric hospitals through the Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Learning Consortium. The consortium provides a comprehensive database for researchers who are studying colorectal conditions to advance the techniques and treatment available to families.

Connect With Us

In the future, we will be hosting local events such as expert panels, educational symposia and dinners. We hope these events give families the opportunity to connect with other families, learn more about their medical condition and just have fun!
