Urology is a surgical specialty which treats medical and surgical conditions related to the kidney, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder, urethra and genitalia.

Many conditions of the genitourinary system in children are recognized before the child is born. Urology works in collaboration with other specialists at the Fetal Concerns Center at Children's Wisconsin to identify and treat those needing expert care. The care of children with urologic conditions at Children's Wisconsin is enhanced by our collaboration with experts in:

  • Anesthesia
  • Child-Life Services
  • Genetics
  • Neurodevelopment and special needs
  • Nutrition
  • Pediatric nursing
  • Perinatology
  • Psychology
  • Radiology
