I completed my general pediatric residency training at Henry Ford Hospital and Health System in Detroit, Michigan. I was then chosen to be a chief resident for one year, during which time I oversaw the residency program and served as attending physician teaching residents in both hospital and classroom settings.

Soon after that I followed my husband to Kenosha, WI, and began my career at Children’s Wisconsin. I have been at Kenosha pediatrics for over 10 years now. My husband and I have enjoyed being a part of this community and raising our three very active and adventurous boys. When I am not at work I am at home being a mom and enjoy doing various activities with my children. I am an avid cook and gardener and enjoy traveling.

I enjoy all aspects of pediatrics but have a special interest in newborn care, healthy life style and nutrition, and asthma and allergy management. Having a child with asthma has changed my perspective of the disease and the challenges in managing it.

Being a pediatrician has been a rewarding career choice. I can’t ask for more when coming to work means cooing at babies, getting hugs from toddlers, laughing with preteens and talking to teenagers about their hopes for the future, all in the same day. There is never a dull moment between answering questions about why a toddler won’t sit on the potty to why a teenager won’t come out of the bathroom.

As a pediatrician, I have been honored to be a part of the lives of so many families and they have in turn become a part of mine. My youngest child was a happy surprise and is just over a year now. When he was born I was touched by the generosity of so many families and their wishes for my son.

Whether you are a parent, foster parent or a caregiver, raising children is an amazing, sometimes daunting, but overall a life-changing experience. My goal is to support parents and help them navigate the various joys and challenges this journey entails and raise happy healthy children. I believe a well-informed parent is their child’s best advocate, and to this end my philosophy has been to educate parents about their child’s health and actively involve them in medical decision making.
