Joree has worked at Children’s Wisconsin since 2002 taking care of infants, children and adolescents with a variety of skin conditions and diseases. She enjoys helping families because many skin conditions not only severely affect the quality of life of the child but can also affect the entire family. What drives her most is the interaction with children of all ages. Children are open and honest; and their fears and concerns are all different. Joree believes that some of the greatest challenges and greatest rewards come from discovering these differences and being able to treat their skin disease in a way that is best for each individual. She knows that many times a dermatology visit can be very scary for kids; with the unknown of what is going to happen or from memories of previous painful doctor visits and we try to anticipate their fear and reassure them with techniques that best suit their personality. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing families in follow up visits and hearing how a treatment has helped their child; sleep better, stop itching, have less pain, and feel more self confident.

The staff is always very knowledgeable and receptive to questions and communicates well with me on my chart.

The provider rushed through the visit and interrupted me when I was speaking and did not hear out my concerns.

Hi, we were a little apprehensive coming to a new clinic for us and seeing a new provider, but we're so relieved once we met Joree and her caretaking team because they were wonderful. They listened to everything that was bothering my daughter and took the time to just research the interactions with different medications that could happen. This was overall just a wonderful bedside manner and we really appreciated it and would make the drive to come back to see her because she was just that fantastic. Thank you.

Great provider and felt comfortable with the care. Would have liked to see more comfort holds being acceptable and comfort measures discussed. Injections were rushed and comfort was not top of mind for the provider.

This was our first appointment with the Dermatology department. We had a fabulous experience, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. We actually were taken back a little early which was wonderful. We have numerous things to discuss in a short appt and everything was thoroughly covered in a timely but appropriate manner and we left feeling better about every issue discussed. Thank you!!

Joree talked to my 11 yr old in a way she could understand and made sure to address her concerns. She was kind, patient, and gave us her fullest attention for the extent of the visit. Highly recommend Joree!

We had a great visit. Things were explained to both me and my 8 year old in a way that made him feel involved. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.

There was a lack of communication. A person walked into the room and sat down in front of the laptop without an introduction on who she was and what her role was. It was a little uncomfortable.

Such kind staff, gave choices to my child and made her very comfortable before the pokes. Also saw it was her birthday coming up and made an effort to ask her about celebrating.

Every time we see the provider they are nearly ahead of schedule and yet we never feel rushed. Very positive experience. Tech works great (e checkin) and love having the extra health associate (not sure title) in room taking notes.

Our appointment time was for 9:30, but we did not see the doctor/dermatologist until 9:55, which in turn pushed everything back causing my daughter to miss her next appointment at 10:15 at the Pewaukee clinic, which we had mentioned to the nurse ahead of time AND it was noted in the system. From there, the Pewaukee staff must have been short staffed because we had to reschedule our 10:15 appointment to 11. Again, we were not seen by the doctor until 11:40. (And when the doctor finally came in, he was in no way speedy in trying to get to the root cause as to why we were there; instead, he went on and on about strep throat before we even knew if she had it or not...which it turned out, the test came back negative.) I understand appointments get backed up for various reasons, which the nurse did tell us they were running behind. However, our time is valuable too and two back to back delays greatly postponed my daughter returning to school, which is a big deal when she has to leave school in the middle of the day and go to two separate appointments because we could not be accommodated to be seen in Delafield. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, which was a first for us with Children's Hospital.

All the staff - the doctor, the nurse, the translator - was were all excellent with me. They were very kind with my son. I give them 100% because honestly it was a very nice experience I had in the clinic. Thanks very much for that good doctor and nurse, and because they truly attended me very well. Thanks very much.
