General foster care

The need for foster care parents in Milwaukee County is great. As many as 100 children are removed from their homes each month because they are not safe. At any given time, more than 2,000 children are in foster care in Milwaukee County.

Respite foster care

Respite foster care is temporary child care which is provided in your home. It is a vital support service to full-time foster parents and other families. As a respite foster provider, you have the option to care for children according to your schedule and availability.

Treatment foster care

Treatment foster care is home-based care for children and adolescents with moderate to severe emotional, behavioral, physical or medical challenges.

Teen foster care

The majority of children ages 11-18 who are placed in foster care are placed in a group home. These children have all experienced trauma in some form, and would heal best in a family setting.
