Capsule endoscopy
This test is used to look for bleeding or other problems in the small intestine. Your child swallows a capsule that contains a tiny video camera. As the capsule moves through the small intestine, the camera takes pictures and sends them to a recording device. When the test is done, the doctor uploads the images to a computer to be examined.
Children’s Wisconsin was the first program in the area to offer wireless capsule endoscopy.
