Why choose us for your child's gastrointestinal, liver or nutritional care?

Your family is now a member of ours

Caring for a child with gastrointestinal, liver or nutritional problems can be stressful. You’re not alone. Our team at Children’s Wisconsin has expertise in managing diverse GI issues found in infants, adolescents and teenagers. Knowing that each child and family is unique, we take a holistic approach and always consider growth, physical and emotional development, and age-related social issues as we develop treatment plans with you.

We know kids deserve the best

Our diverse team includes doctors, advanced practice providers/pediatric nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, speech pathologists, psychologists and researchers, many who are international leaders in pediatric gastroenterology. We are recognized as one of the largest and most well-rounded pediatric GI divisions in the country. Some of the testing and interventions available for your child can only be found here. Families travel from all over the world to have access to our expert and compassionate care. We provide a level of care that few others anywhere can match.

We are constantly studying the causes, treatments, side effects and long-term outcomes of gastrointestinal disorders. Teams of specialists take problems from the bedside and clinic into the laboratory, and return with better treatments. This is how we can provide the most advanced and best care options.

Multidisciplinary approach

At Children’s Wisconsin, we know that caring for children with complex gastrointestinal conditions requires the skills of multiple specialists in many areas. In addition to our pediatric gastroenterology specialists, you and your child have access to other expert specialties:

  • Surgery
  • Genetics
  • Allergy and immunology
  • Diagnostic and interventional imaging
