Rheumatology fellowships at Children’s

A Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program is offered through the Medical College of Wisconsin. The program is a three-year program designed for trained pediatricians and is led by highly experienced pediatric rheumatologists. The Fellowship Program was accredited by the ACGME in 2003, and is one of only 26 in the U.S.

Research and quality at Children’s

Children’s Wisconsin is a national leader in pediatric rheumatology research, with a long history at the forefront of improving outcomes for children. Our tireless goal is to maintain function, prevent damage and alleviate the discomfort and disabilities associated with rheumatic diseases and to provide information that may one day lead to cures.

We conduct both clinical and basic science research, including clinical trials, drug trials, registry studies, Quality Improvement and outcomes research. Children’s participated in the first biologic response modifier study Etanercept and was one of the centers involved in a study that led to a new class of drugs, significantly improving outcomes for children nationwide.

We strive to bring children the latest and best treatments and medications available. Our pediatric rheumatologists and nurse practitioner are all members of the American College of Rheumatology and actively participate in clinical research including:
