Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia clinical practice guideline

“Newborn jaundice affects most infants at some point in the first 30 days of life. As a newborn hospitalist, the 2022 American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia Clinical Practice Guideline helps me ensure that we are screening and treating infants for hyperbilirubinemia effectively. And most importantly, partnering with the child’s outpatient pediatric provider for appropriate follow-up! This guideline’s release has been an opportunity for us to align practice across disciplines and improve transitions of care.”

Kelsey Ryan, MD
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
