Hospital visits for staying at least one night
Where you can stay
Overnight stays in the hospital
One adult may stay overnight with their child in the hospital. A single sleeper couch is in most patient rooms for one parent or grandparent to stay. Tell your child’s nurse if you wish to stay overnight. There are parent showers for your use. You will need to bring your own personal care items and sleepwear.
For safety reasons, we do not allow parents to sleep with their child on the parent bed. Parents may not sleep in their child's bed.
Brothers, sisters and other children are not allowed to stay overnight. Please make plans for the care of your other children before coming to the hospital.
Lodging and hotels
In order to make your stay at Children's Wisconsin as easy as possible, we created a list of hotels, motels, and other options to help out-of-town families plan where to stay in Milwaukee. Many area hotels offer discounts to parents or family of our patients.
