Dr. Hanley is originally from Michigan and graduated with a bachelor of science from the University of Michigan. She subsequently moved to Milwaukee where she earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then finished her Orthopedic Surgery residency training at the University of Iowa before moving to Boston. There, she completed a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Harvard/Brigham & Women’s and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Hanley treats a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric hand and upper extremity conditions, with a particular interest in pediatric upper limb trauma and congenital hand differences.
Dr. Hanley has multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented at many national and regional orthopedic surgery conferences. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOA) and Pediatric Hand Study Group.

Dr. Hanley and her crew are absolutely the most amazing to have worked with. They always took my daughter's fears, and feelings to heart. Every appointment was always on time, or we were brought back early which is amazing!!

Dr. Hanley has been amazing throughout this process. She is extremely patient, informative, and really takes time with us every visit. Her knowledge & demeanor put us at ease and most importantly she makes our son feel comfortable and heard!
