Sitzmark colon transit test
This test is used to evaluate bowel function and involves your child ingesting one or several capsules that contains tiny plastic markers. A technologist will take an X-ray to see how the markers move through your child’s bowel. If the markers remain in the colon instead of passing, your child’s doctor might recommend a motility study.
