Our approach to motility disorders
The specialists in Children's Center for Pediatric Neurogastroenterology, Motility, and Autonomic Disorders are nationally recognized experts in the diagnosis and treatment of motility disorders, and patients from around the world seek our expertise in treating rare and complex GI conditions. Some of the motility disorders we treat include chronic intractable constipation, Hirschsprung’s disease, gastroparesis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, and esophageal achalasia. Our team is also actively involved in research on functional GI, motility, and autonomic disorders, which deepens our understanding of how to best treat these conditions.
Children's is one of the few pediatric centers to offer a full range of state-of-the-art testing and treatment options, including manometry studies and gastric pacing.
