The Neurogastroenterology, Motility and Autonomic Disorders Program at Children's Wisconsin is one of only a few centers in the country offering treatment for children with long-lasting gastrointestinal bowel disorders, including:
- Abdominal migraine
- Autonomic disorders
- Chronic intestinal pseudo obstruction
- Cyclic vomiting syndrome and functional nausea
- Esophageal achalasia
- Functional abdominal pain
- Gastroparesis and delayed gastric emptying
- Hirschsprungs disease and anorectal malformation
Our team of experts provides and coordinates treatment plans specifically designed for each child. Treatment plans may include one or more of the following:
- Medication
- Behavior therapy
- Biofeedback
- Communication with teachers
- Physical activity and conditioning
- Changes in eating and sleeping habits
- Lifestyle changes to reduce stress
- Consultations with our team of specialists
