Overview
Services
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families coping with trauma and significant mental health and behavioral challenges. I understand that stress is unique to each member of the family and can affect daily interactions in every area of life. I offer my partnership and collaboration to children and families who are ready to explore their thoughts and feelings.
I have received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and participated in Training for Adoption Competency (TAC), focusing on how to effectively work with those who are currently going through or have a history of foster care and/or adoption.
For those interested in art therapy, I take a person-centered approach to help my clients develop art exploration into an emotionally restorative practice. There is absolutely no art experience required to benefit from art therapy! In fact, I have often found that those who would never consider themselves to be artistic can find great healing and insight through art.
I also believe that faith and spirituality can be rich resources that can be a vital part of healing. If you believe this plays an important role in the healing process for you, I will work with you in determining how to prioritize this component of your life.
