Continuous glucose monitor
What is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)?
- CGM uses a tiny sensor inserted under the skin to check glucose levels in tissue fluid.
- Sensor is replaced every 10 to 14 days.
- Information about glucose levels are transmitted from the sensor to a wireless device.
- The information may go to a phone, receiver or insulin pump.
