Continuous glucose monitor

What is a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)?

  • CGM uses a tiny sensor inserted under the skin to check glucose levels in tissue fluid.
  • Sensor is replaced every 10 to 14 days.
  • Information about glucose levels are transmitted from the sensor to a wireless device.
  • The information may go to a phone, receiver or insulin pump.
