Enteral nutrition
This treatment involves your child receiving nourishment via liquid formulas instead of solid food. This treatment, which sometimes requires the use of tube feeding through the nose, stomach or intestine, can be used for a variety of reasons. It can help with growth, provision of nutrients, short bowel syndrome, feeding disorders, and in some patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Children’s Wisconsin has dieticians who have extra experience with this and other nutritional therapies.
