Language Services
Our Language Services program provides face-to-face, telephone and video relay interpreters for patient families who do not speak English or who have limited speech proficiency or hearing or speech issues. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no cost to the patient family.
Children’s Wisconsin only uses qualified medical interpreters. Studies show when family or friend interprets, they often leave out important details or do not know how to explain medical terms. Our interpreters have special training and know how to handle sensitive situations. Please ask for an interpreter if you feel it will help you understand your child's care.
