Wisconsin Hospital Association Advocacy Day stresses the importance of children's health care

Wisconsin Hospital Association's Advocacy Day

Wisconsin Hospital Association's (WHA) Advocacy Day in Madison, Wisc. is an annual event that connects hospital supporters with their state legislators so lawmakers can learn how issues impact local hospitals and communities. Children's Hospital staff and leaders help shape the future of health care in Wisconsin communities.

WHA Advocacy Day 2019

Nearly 100 Children’s advocates, including leaders, staff, and patient families attended the event on April 17 with almost 1,000 other hospital advocates from across the state. Children’s advocates met with their lawmakers to discuss important health care policies impacting children and families in our community.

We had many patient families with us this year, and we especially would like to thank members of Children’s Advocacy Network (CAN) for all of their past and continued efforts to speak up on behalf of Wisconsin’s kids. Check out Children's blog about two families who attended WHA Advocacy Day.

Visit WHA's HEAT page to learn more about their advocacy efforts.
