Alcohol and other drug-use prevention

Alcohol and other drug-use prevention iconChildren’s Children’s Wisconsin’s Alcohol and other drug-use prevention online lessons, activities and games teach 4-8th grade students how to make smart choices when faced with pressures to use alcohol and other drugs and how to stay drug-free.

The interactive content, developed with subject matter experts, teaches students about different kinds of drugs and their effects on the body.

Depending on grade level, students also learn about analyzing influences, how to cope in stressful situations, how to set goals and the difference between positive and negative risk-taking.

Supplemental activities for classroom use are available to reinforce what is learned in online lessons, activities and games.

Children’s Alcohol and other drug-use prevention content aligns with National Health Education Standards and supports the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for School Counseling. Visit the Connection to standards page for more information.
